Civil ceremonies are held in the town hall or buildings associated with it. Some of these places can be really special.
As this is Rome even functional buildings such as town halls or municipal buildings can be very beautiful. We recommend booking well in advance, but bookings will not be accepted more than 6 months out. We can assist you through the booking process.
CIVIL VENUES
Civil weddings in Rome are normally held in one of the following three venues
Campidoglio
Located on one of Rome's seven hills in a Michelangelo designed piazza, and overlooks the ancient Roman forum. Campidoglio is open on Fridays and Saturdays from 9:00 to 12:00pm and 4pm to 6pm, and on Sundays from 9:00 to 12:30pm.
Complesso Vignola Mattei
Located next to the famous, ancient Baths of Caracalla in a beautiful old villa with the most stunning gardens, this is another incomparable option for a civil ceremony.
It is open Tuesdays, from 09:00 to12:00pm and from 4PM to 6 pm. Sundays from 9:00 to 12:30 pm
Villa Lais
Villa Lais is a quaint old chapel located outside the city center. It is beautifully decorated with frescoes and is a perfect option for intimate ceremonies.
It is open on Mondays and Fridays from 3 pm to 6:30 pm, on Saturdays from 9:00 to 12:30 pm and from 3 pm to 6:30 pm. and on Sundays from 9:00 to 12:30 pm.
